Del Monte and S&W are heritage brands – which originated in the USA more than 100 years ago. The Group has exclusive rights to use the Del Monte trademark for packaged products in the Philippines, Indian subcontinent and Myanmar, while it owns the S&W brand in Asia, Europe (subject to an exclusive license granted to a third party for certain products in Western Europe), Middle East and Africa.
DMPL’s Philippine subsidiary, Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI), has exclusive rights to other well-known trademarks in the Philippines such as Del Monte, Today’s, Fiesta, 202, Fit ‘n Right, Heart Smart and Quick ‘n Easy.
DMPI has a fully integrated pineapple operation with its 30,000-hectare plantation, all under growership and leasehold in Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental, fresh packhouses, a frozen fruit processing facility, an NFC juicing plant in Bukidnon, and a fruit processing facility in Bugo, Cagayan de Oro about an hour away from the plantation. DMPI also operates a beverage plant in Laguna.
DMPL and its subsidiaries are not affiliated with the other Del Monte companies in the world, including Del Monte Corporation (previously Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc.), Del Monte Canada, Nippon Del Monte Corporation, Del Monte Asia Pte. Ltd. and these companies' affiliates.
DMPL is 72%-owned by the NutriAsia Pacific Group, which is beneficially owned by the Campos family of the Philippines. A subsidiary of the NutriAsia Group, NutriAsia Inc., is the biggest culinary aids company in the Philippines, and a market leader in soy sauce, vinegar, fish sauce, ketchup, specialty sauces, cooking oil and meal sauces.
